Robin is our Head Clinic Assistant who started with us 5 years ago part time, studying a marketing apprenticeship with Truro College.
After A Levels in Penwith College he spent his first 6 months 'out of school' In Brisbane Australia, volunteering with the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, and Land for Wildlife Conservation. From this he realised he loved Dingoes, and hated noxious Australian weeds, and dont complain about being hot in Britain.
Robin being the generation of technology and smart phones will be helping us videoing our clients, and classes, managing our website, newsletters, video info and Facebook page.
Teresa has recently rejoined our team at Harbourside as a Clinic Assistant
So far, Teresa has had a rich and varied life, working a nanny and gaining a degree in Anthropology & Sociology, whilst working in London. She has also worked for Oxfam, Scope and The Isles of Scilly Steamship Company as well as on St. Michael's Mount, before rejoing the Harbourside family after a gap of a few years.
Teresa is a Cornish Maid who left Cornwall at 18 but returned to Penzance 16 years ago to settle down.
It could well be Teresa you speak to as your fist point of contact at Harbourside.
Bronwen has recently joined the Harbourside Team as a Clinic Assistant.
Previous to this she was working in Health & Social Care, providing support to individuals whilst promoting independence, and in some cases providing rehabilitation for a wide range of acquired, neurological and genetic conditions.
Always keen to learn new skills, Bronwen qualified as a Manual Handling Skills Instructor and Risk Assessor, delivering both practical and theory training to staff to promote safe practices and back care, as well as writing risk assessments.
Bronwen studied a Sports Science Diploma at Cornwall College which confirmed her interest in health, nutrition and wellbeing.
Her love of the sea is clear, whether she is taking in the fresh air by the coast or pumping up the endorphins enjoying a surf. Bronwen has also gained RYA/BCU awards in sailing, kayaking and power boating.
When Bronwen is relaxing at home she enjoys listening to music, spending time in the garden and cooking. She is hoping to take up yoga and start practicing meditation to promote mindfulness.
Bronwen lives with her partner, two rabbits and a spoilt house cat.
