Following training at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel Jane worked at Southampton General Hospital.
Having specialised in musculoskeletal conditions she worked at: North Lonsdale hospital in Barrow in Furness, an army medical centre in Germany, GP practices in Devon, Torbay General Hospital and Nottingham University Hospital before moving to Penzance in 2011.
While in Devon Jane trained and qualified as a credentialed McKenzie therapist specialising in treating spinal conditions. This led to an interest in working with people experiencing chronic pain and enabling them to find a way to get their bodies fitter and get back to living active, fulfilling lives.
In Nottingham Jane worked as Physiotherapist on the Pain Management Programme and in the Nottingham Back Team. A new service for those with Chronic Fatigue Syndome/ME was funded in Nottingham and Jane worked as part of the Multidisciplinary Team setting this up, providing both group and individual treatments for those with CFS/ME.
Jane brings all this experience together as she joins the team at Harbourside.
Jane also runs group exercise programmes at Harbourside and in Penzance called Exercising from Scratch and Keep Moving. and now AQUADUCKS in our Hydro pool. These are aimed at those beginning from a low level of fitness.
